Free Community Workshop for First Home Buyers 🏠 Geelong

We’re proud to be partnering with Cloverdale Community Centre to bring a free, community-focused event to the people of Geelong. This workshop is designed for anyone who’s ever thought owning their first home was impossible—too late, too expensive, or just too hard.

If you’ve felt overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or worried you’ll never save a big enough deposit, you’re not alone—and this event is here to help.

As part of his regional outreach work, Alan Heenan from Bayside Finance and Property is teaming up with community centres across Victoria to support people who feel left out of the property conversation. Whether you’re a single parent, a tradie, over 50, working in community services, or just someone who hasn’t had the right support—Alan is doing this for you.

Alan is known for his heart-first, straight-talking approach. Raised by a single mum and shaped by a unique upbringing—including time spent growing up in a prison community—Alan understands what it means to do it tough. With 20 years of experience and a passion for helping everyday Australians, he’s committed to making sure the battlers get a fair go.

What to Expect

This is a practical, no-jargon workshop—no sales pitch, no pressure, and definitely no catch. You’ll be guided through real steps, with hands-on activities that make sense for your situation. You’ll leave with clearer direction and an understanding of what your path to home ownership could look like.

And yes, there’ll be local pizza on the table, because good conversations happen better over good food. Got kids? No worries—our team has Working with Children Checks and you’re welcome to bring the little ones along.
