Lara Safe Plate

Neighbourhood Watch Greater Geelong in partnership with V Line and Lara Police will be conducting a Safe Plate event at Lara Railway Station on Saturday 10 May, between 10am and 2pm.

This presents the opportunity for residents of Lara to have one-way anti theft screws fitted to their vehicle number plates.  See flyer and information attached.

Number plates are a hot target for thieves. There are around 20,000 number plate thefts reported in Victoria each year – that’s more than 55 a day.

Corio SES Unit and Lara Lions volunteers will also be assisting to provide this service to the community of Lara.
