Surf Coast Safe Space Opening

A new Community‑led Safe Space has been established in the Surf Coast Shire to support people experiencing emotional or suicidal distress, those supporting someone through their own distress, and people bereaved by suicide. This initiative has been created through the dedication of local volunteers, strong community support, a Surf Coast Shire Community Wellbeing Grant, a generous donation from the Scanlon Foundation, and the National Community-led Safe Spaces program through Roses in the Ocean.
