The Victorian ambulance Unions saying more than 96 per cent of its members voted in support of the 29 actions being taken across the state

VAU secretary Danny Hill says members remain some of the lowest paid in the medical industry.

“Patient transport ambos are a vital part of the health system, but they are some of the lowest paid workers in the health system,” he said.

“NPT is owned by ComfortDelGro who recorded $2.56 billion in revenue last year. They are the biggest patient transport company in Australia, but they are offering their staff 1.4 per cent. It’s an insult.

“Over 96 per cent is a massive result that shows our members are insulted by the offer and are prepared to take action for as long as they have to.”
