Four people have been arrested after an alleged armed robbery in Geelong.
Police first responded to reports two males had entered a store on Ryrie Street around 11:40am on Wednesday, stealing jewellery after smashing a glass display with an axe.
Nobody was injured in the store.
It’s understood they then fled on foot towards Gheringhap Street, before driving to Belmont in a white MG ZS wagon.
The four males aged 53, 39, 27 and 17 were arrested on High Street and will be interviewed.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police urging anyone with information to get in touch with Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppers.vic.com.au.
