Five people have been arrested and 12 handed traffic infringements as part of a local police operation on Tuesday.
Operation CCME saw five people arrested, including two for stealing groceries.
A further two were arrested on warrants.
Police added the 12 infringements were largely targeting speeding, with between 12km and 26km over the limit.
Police said in a statement they were grateful to the public.
“Pleasingly there were no reports of crime against a person – with police members in the field being approached by members of the public expressing their appreciation for service,” it said.
“Our efforts and tasking at creating safer suburbs continues, as we hold people to account and provide highly visible active patrols.”
