Arrests over Corio house fire

Two teenagers will face court at a later date after allegedly setting fire to a Corio home.

Police arrested the 14 and 15 year olds after emergency services were called to a fire at a property on Bacchus Marsh Road around 11.30.

The pair have been hit with several charges over the incident.

“The girls have both been charged with criminal damage by fire (arson), recklessly cause injury and unlawful assault,” police said in a statement.

“They have been summonsed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.”
