A man has been arrested following a chase and crash in Melbourne early this morning.
The pursuit began in Truganina after police spotted a suspect minivan — it was then covertly followed into the city where it was involved in a head-on collision on the Kings Way Bridge.
“A pursuit was called but terminated when the van crossed onto the wrong side of the road,” police said in a statement.

“A short time later the van was involved in a head on crash with another car on the Kings Way Bridge.”
The driver taken to hospital under police guard – a search of the van allegedly turned up a large quantity of drugs.
