The Geelong office of Acting Prime Minister Richard Marles has been targeted by anti-war protestors for the second time in as many weeks.
Fake “dead bodies” wrapped in blood-soaked sheets were left outside the electorate offices of five Victorian Labor MPs on Wednesday, including Mr Marles’ headquarters in Yarra Street.
Hand-written signs calling for an end to Israel’s onslaught in Gaza were attached to windows and walls above the effigies.
Cooper MP Ged Kearney, Jagajag MP Kate Thwaites, Wills MP Peter Khalil and and government minister Bill Shorten were also targeted.
Pro-Palestine activists have had the Federal ALP in their sights since the government’s earlier refusal to condemn Israel over the deaths of more than 10,000 civilians in Gaza, in the wake of the November 7 Hamas attacks.
Wednesday’s graphic protest has been claimed by the group No More Bodies In Gaza, which claims to be made up mostly of parents and health professionals.
On November 1 protesters stormed Mr Marles’ office and unfurled banners calling for an end to the ‘genocide’ and attacking the Albanese government over its support for Israel.
