The family of Paul Grapsas has called for the prosecutors to appeal the prison term of Bailey Clifford.

Clifford was sentenced to eight and a half years for the manslaughter of Grapsas, with a non-parole period of five years.

Grapsas was stabbed seven times by Clifford in the incident outside his home back in 2023, leaving Grapsas to die as he fled the scene.

Grapsas’ widow has called the penalty an injustice, saying the penalty didn’t reflect the gravity of the crime.

Manslaughter carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in Victoria, but Clifford could be released in less than five years with time served.
