Two people have been charged following the assaults of three police officers in Grovedale.
An officer was hit by an allegedly stolen car on Monday morning, while two others were assaulted during the arrest.
Police noticed two allegedly stolen cars being spotted on the Surf Coast Highway on Monday.
They tried to intercept one of the vehicles on Peter Street, Grovedale, where a station wagon hit an officer.
Two alleged offenders were then arrested.
A 28-year-old Ararat man has been charged with offences including car theft and resist police.
A 29-year-old woman from Norlane is also facing charges of assault, resist police and drug offences.
Both have been remanded to face court in Geelong later today.
