Two people have been charged as police continue to investigate an alleged carjacking at a local primary school.
Police allege a man threatened a female driver in the Lara Primary School carpark around 7.15am on Wednesday before pushing her out of the Mazda CX5 and stealing the vehicle.
The victim, a 56-year-old woman, was not physically injured.
Police found the Mazda at a Corio address on Friday morning, arresting two people.
A 30-year-old Corio man has since been charged with unrelated offences including car theft, drug and weapons charges.
He has been bailed to face court in October.
A 38-year-old Corio woman has also been charged with unrelated offences including car theft, drug and weapons charges.
She was remanded to face court on Monday.
Detectives are still after the public’s help as they investigate the carjacking.
