A man has been charged over a series of assaults in the Geelong CBD at the weekend.
Five different women were assaulted in separate attacks on Saturday afternoon across the city.
“The incidents took place between 4pm-5.30pm on Little Malop Street, Malop Street, Gheringhap Street and Rippleside Park where it’s alleged the man struck the women or threw cans, hitting the victims,” police said in a statement.
“One woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
“The man initially fled the area but was arrested at Rippleside Park around 5.30pm on Saturday.”
A 39 year old Cranbourne West man has been remanded to face Geelong Magistrates court tomorrow.
