Darren Cheeseman is keeping his Parliamentary Secretary role, but will be looking after a different portfolio.
The member for South Barwon came under scrutiny last week, after revelations he was still Parliamentary Secretary for the Commonwealth Games, after his government announced it would not be holding the 2026 event.
Premier Daniel Andrews has confirmed Mr Cheeseman will be Parliamentary Secretary for Community Support.
“He will support Minister [Ros] Spence with the government’s extensive work with community sporting codes and clubs as well as the recently announced All Abilities Sport Fund,” he said.
“.. ensuring this significant new investment is designed and delivered to benefit people with disability and facilitate their participation in sport of all kinds.”
