Improvement works at the K Road Cliffs in Werribee is getting underway.
The $32.2 million project will be carried out in two stages, with the first stage to include drainage works to help stop erosion along the cliffs near the Werribee River.
Wyndham Council is hoping to have Stage 1 completed early next year, which will also include a new cliff-top walking path, staircase to the river and new car park.
The second stage will focus on rebuilding 2.8km of K Road between Duncans Road and the cliffs.
The council is hoping the upgrades will improve tourism to the area, while also addressing erosion concerns.
The works are part of the K Road Cliffs Masterplan.
