A man accused of driving the wrong way on the Princes Freeway has been arrested.
Police received several calls about a dark-coloured hatch driving in the wrong direction in the early hours of Saturday.
They spotted the car in Laverton North around 2.20am, but say the driver sped off.

Officers boxed in the vehicle in Werribee, before it stopped near Duncans Road.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
He has since charged with offences including reckless conduct and dangerous driving and is due to face court later today.
