Police are continuing to crack down on drivers failing to keep left on major roads.
An Armstrong Creek man was intercepted near Fyansford on Saturday evening, after he was detected driving three kilometres in the right lane on the Geelong Ring Road without passing anyone.
He was fined $198 and lost two demerit points.

The 42-year-old told police he did not realise he was travelling in the right lane for so long.
“Just talkin’ with friends – didn’t realise,” he said.
Drivers are being reminded they need to keep out of the right lane on a multi-lane road where there is a speed limit of 80km/h or over unless they are overtaking.
