V/Line says it will be increasing the number of trains for the preliminary final next week.
It’s been confirmed planning for the game is well underway, with timetables to be confirmed after the fixture is finalised.
Mayor Stretch Kontelj saying it’s currently a safety issue for commuters.

V/Line ran an extra five trains for the qualifying final last week.
“We will be running extra services to get fans to and from the Geelong Cats preliminary final at the MCG next week,” a spokesperson said.
“V/Line has started planning for these services, with details to be confirmed after the AFL fixture is released.”
