A Wyndham home has been extensively damaged by fire during the night.
Emergency services were called to the Truganina property just after 10.30pm Thursday to reports the house was fully alight and children may have been inside.
They arrived to Prairie Place, finding the flames threatening nearby homes.

Crews protected the adjoining homes from being impacted by fire and searched the home, finding no-one inside.
Four residents managed to get out safely, although a man was taken to hospital for airway burns and burns to his arms.
Two females were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
It is believed the fire started in a workshop before spreading.
A building surveyor is expected to be one scene today to assess the structure’s safety.
