A frost warning has been issued for areas including Geelong and the Surf Coast, as locals are reminded it is still winter.
The Bureau of Meteorology says temperatures on the ground can be lower than what is recorded by standard weather stations.
Geelong has dropped to 0.8 degrees this morning, but has felt like -1.

Avalon has been colder, officially sitting at -0.2 at 7.30am, but felt like -3.6.
There has also been fog around the region.
However the bureau says it should clear to be a mostly sunny day with a top of 13.
