Funding for emergency services

Local life saving clubs are sharing in Victorian funding to buy equipment needed for their work.

Lorne and Ocean Grove will receive more than $30,000 each while more than $40,000 has been announced for Torquay.

The funding is through the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program, for essential equipment including vehicles and undertake minor facility improvements.

The CFA will also receive funding for initiatives including buying light and ultra-light tankers.

Almost $100,000 has been announced for the Werribee Coast Guard for new trucks to carry out their work.
