Further charges over Pt Cook blaze

A second person has been charged over a tobacco shop fire in Point Cook.

Emergency services were called to Murnong Street on the morning of January 19, with the shop sustaining minor damage.

A stolen Ford hatchback police believe was used during the incident was later recovered by officers.

A 34-year-old Broadmeadows man was arrested on Thursday afternoon by detectives from the Lunar Taskforce.

He was charged overnight with offences including arson and car theft.

The man was remanded to face court today.

A 24-year-old man from Campbellfield was arrested and charged last week.

He was remanded to face court in April.
