Victoria’s ban on machete’s has officially begun.
The state today becoming the first in the country to put a ban on the bladed weapons.
Geelong police station has been named as a machete drop-off point during a three month weapons amnesty.

It’ll be one of 45 police stations across Victoria where the bladed weapon can be surrendered in a secure bin.
It is now an offence to possess the weapon, which can include heavy fines or even jail time.
