Geelong’s famous floating Christmas tree is back.

The tree will be officially switched on during a Christmas Opening Night ceremony, which will also feature Denis Walter’s Carols by the Bay on November 30.

Denis said he was excited to have the carols at Steampacket Place in his 28th year on the waterfront.

“To be also here and introducing the 10th lighting of the floating Christmas Tree is pretty special,” he said.

“Geelong will be Christmas Central on Saturday night.”

The tree’s shows will be played every 15 minutes between 8.30pm and midnight between Saturday night and January 7.
