The thumbs up has been given to the Geelong City Market after a big turnout on Saturday.
Thousands came to the market where three dozen stall holders were plying their trade.
Even more to be there this coming Saturday.
Organiser Simon Toohey said they were blown away by the attendance.
“Beyond our wildest dreams,” he said.
“We had people lining up well before we actually opened, with people already buying things.
“The crowd has been spectacular and its brought the city to life.”
He said it’s now up to the town to keep the momentum going.
“All over to the community,” he said.
“we’ll bring the stalls, we’ll bring the vibes. But if Geelong and the Bellarine and the surrounds keep it going, we will be around for a long time.”
