Geelong has officially recorded more than 11mm of rain in less than 24 hours, despite some areas reporting heavy rain.
That is well below the long-term October average of 51mm.
Avalon has had 16 mm since 9am Tuesday and Point Cook over 33mm.

Other areas of Victoria recorded more than their monthly average in 24 hours.
Showers are forecast in Geelong today with a top of 15 degrees.
Meantime, a severe weather warning has been issued for parts of Victoria’s east, which were battling bushfires earlier this week.
