A 12-year-old girl is in hospital after being struck by a car in Highton.
The incident on Thornhill Road occurred around 6-30 Saturday morning. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
It’s believed the girl was crossing the road at the time she was struck.

Ambulance Victoria says the girl suffered serious leg injuries.
