The Golden Plains shire has unveiled their new CEO.
Shane Walden will officially take up the role on September 2, taking over from interim chief Michel Tudball.
The council has been hunting a permanent chief since the resignation of Eric Braslis in March.
Council says Walden brings an ambitious vision for the future of the shire.
“I was thrilled at the calibre of applicants that applied for the role of CEO and believe that we will be in incredibly good hands with the choice that councillors have made,” mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said.
“With Shane’s deep understanding of opportunities and challenges ahead of us, we are confident he’s the right person to lead Golden Plains Shire Council through its next chapter.”
Walden said he was excited to begin the role.
“Golden Plains Shire is known for its strong sense of community with people working together to achieve common goals and outcomes,” he said.
“This sense of community benefits the entire Shire and I look forward to continuing the conversations with the community, while embracing innovation and best practices.”
