EPA Victoria says a fire at a North Geelong wreckers is a wake up call to the industry to act now to reduce and stop fire risks.
The blaze on Thompson Road on March 3 saw gas bottles explode, and acrid black smoke in the sky, prompting air quality warnings.
Investigations are continuing into the fire.

The EPA says auto wreckers face particular risks, including handling vehicles they may still have combustible fluids.
Crews have been at the site for several days, and at the nearby Cowies Creek.
They say testing shows no lasting contamination in the creek.
