A new report has found Kardinia Park generated more than $190 million for the state’s economy in the last financial year.
The ground hosted 44 events during 2024/25, attracting more than 48,000 visitors.
That includes Geelong AFL and AFLW games, BBL games, and the Matildas playing a friendly against Chinese Taipei.
Member for Geelong Christine Couzens said it was a ground not only loved by locals, but also visitors to the region.
“The recent report on the social and economic value of Kardinia Park has proved to be highly successful with $190 million for our economy,” Ms Couzens said.
“It’s a thriving place for all sorts of sport related and community activities that people are flocking to.”
The overall stadium capacity was increased to 40,000 following the completion of the Stage 5 redevelopment.
