A farm in Lethbridge has become the third poultry farm in Victoria to be hit with an outbreak of bird flu.
Farm Pride Foods announced this morning the strain detected at its farm was the same found at a nearby Meredith farm 10 days ago.
The organisation said the Lethbridge site has about 80,000 free-range hens, with tests at the weekend revealing the H7N3 strain in the hens.

A different strain was detected at the third property – a farm in Terang – which was the H7N9 strain.
A community information message is still in place for the Golden Plains shire, while areas surrounding Terang are also on alert.
