The rising cost of living may have contributed to a drop in poker machine spending across Geelong.
Figures show local punters poured $11.1 into machines across the Greater Geelong region during September.
That is compared to $11.4 million in August.

Spending was also down in Wyndham, with locals spending $1 million less on the machines month on month.
However, spending was slightly up on the Surf Coast – $331 thousand dollars in September, compared to $310,000 the month before.
