A Laverton man has had his unregistered motorbike impounded after being caught allegedly speeding in Altona Meadows.
The 23 year old unlicensed rider was clocked doing 144ks in a 60 zone just after 1am.
He was tracked as he allegedly rode along footpaths and through parks into Point Cook before riding back towards Altona Meadows where he was eventually pulled over.

“Air Wing followed the motorcyclist as he allegedly continued along footpaths and through parks into Point Cook,” police said in a statement.
“The 23-year-old Laverton man, who was unlicensed, is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
“His unregistered motorbike was impounded at a cost of $999.52.”
