A St Leonards man is set to face court after allegedly blowing almost five times the blood alcohol limit.
Residents called police, reporting an erratic driver on Bluff Road late last week.
Officers say a 61-year-old tried to drive off after reversing into another vehicle.

The managed to intercept him, with the man allegedly blowing 0.24.
His licence has been suspended for 12-months and he will face court down the track.
Police have thanked the public for their concern, saying it helped ensure the safety of the community.
