A man has been charged over a devastating fatal collision which claimed the life of a Clifton Springs man over the weekend.
A 51-year-old man was killed when a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Ranger collided on Nerowie Road in Parwan, near Bacchus Marsh, just after 10am on Sunday.
The 65-year-old driver of Jeep suffered non-life threatening injuries and has since been charged.
The Mont Albert North man has been bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court next Monday, charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death and four counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury.
The victim was driving the Ford, while his front passenger, a 45-year-old Clifton Springs woman, was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two children sitting in the back seat were also taken to hospital.
A 12-year-old boy remains in a critical but stable condition while a 7-year-old girl remains in a serious but stable condition.
