A man has been charged over a police chase and crash in Hoppers Crossing.
Police noticed a white ute, allegedly stolen from Hamlyn Heights, in Gheringhap on Thursday morning.
They say the driver sped through several suburbs between Geelong and Hoppers Crossing before hitting a tree on the corner of Sayers and Morris roads.

A 25-year-old from Sunshine was taken to hospital under police guard.
He has since been charged with offences including car theft, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and driving while disqualified.
The man has been remanded to face court in Geelong on August 5.
