A Hoppers Crossing man is facing charges accused of deliberately disrupting train services on the Werribee line.
Police have been investigating numerous incidents since March where a man allegedly ran in front of a train, hit golf balls and shone lasers at trains.
“A 55-year-old man was arrested when investigators executed a search warrant at his Hoppers Crossing residence on Tuesday, 12 August,” police said in a statement.
“As part of the search officers seized golf clubs and three nail guns.
“The 55-year-old was subsequently charged with a string of offences related to the railway investigation as well as several unrelated incidents.
“Charges include three counts of trespassing on Public Transport Victoria property, two counts of damaging trains, two counts of obstructing trains, two counts of threats to inflict serious injury and trespassing on a rail corridor.”
The 55 year old man has been bailed to face court next month.
