A community campaign for change with the family and friends of a road crash victim will be held on Saturday morning, for the second annual Mia’s March at Kardinia Park.
The 12-year-old old was killed in a crash at Stonehaven in 2024. An allegedly unlicensed and drug affected driver was behind the wheel of the other vehicle.
Mia’s parents say they plan to stage the event every year in an effort to bring about change to the justice system in Victoria. Her parents, Paul and Danica Rossiter, making the pledge in a Facebook post on the Mia’s March page.
“The march is in memory of our beautiful girl Mia who was taken tragically on January 2024 in a car crash at Stonehaven, by an unlicensed, drug affected driver who was on parole.. So, we gather and march every year to try and fix our broken justice system and bail laws, as well as remember all those affected by road trauma in some way! Mia will always be FOREVER 12”
