More Victorians are cutting back on hours to enjoy a work-life balance.
It comes as more people begin to prioritise their lives away from the office.
“With more people prioritising flexibility and a good work-life balance, they’re choosing part-time work so they can spend more time with family or focus on other responsibilities outside of work,” Jess Morris, Reckon General Manager of People and Culture Jess Morris said.
“Then there are those who take on part-time jobs to help with the cost of living.”
Figures show 42 per cent of locals in the Borough of Queenscliffe are employed part-time.
The area sits behind only Mount Alexander in terms of percentage of people taking up part time work.
But the biggest change has come in Wyndham.
Wyndham had the highest increase of men working part time with a 314 per cent rise over 15 years.
