A man has been charged with murder after a woman’s body was found in Little River.
Police were alerted to reports a 53-year-old Dandenong woman was missing on April 2, finding she had not contacted family as expected.
Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad found her body on Saturday afternoon around Little River Road and the Princes Freeway, setting up a crime scene.

A 67-year-old man was arrested at Melbourne Airport before he boarded an international flight on Friday afternoon – the arrest follows a missing persons report.
He has since been charged with murder and is due to face court on Sunday.
