A 53-year-old homeless man has been charged with one count of murder following the death of a woman at Eastern Beach on Wednesday
The body of the 49-year-old was found at the Pavilion – an arrest made hours later.
“Police later arrested a 53-year-old man of no fixed address in Geelong’s CBD,” police said in a statement.

“The man has since been charged with one count of murder.
“He will appear at the Geelong Magistrates Court on Friday, 30 January.”
