New City of Greater Geelong Councillor Elise Wilkinson has attended her first meeting during Tuesday nights monthly Council event at the Potato Shed on Drysdale.
She takes the Bellarine ward seat left vacant by former Mayor Stephanie Asher.
“I come to Council with a strong passion for the environment and for the people of the City of Greater Geelong and for a responsive and accountable government,” Cr Wilkinson said via video link at the Council meeting.
“I think we’re greater and a great strength of ours at the City of Greater Geelong is our diversity and is something to be celebrated,” she said.
“I look forward very much to working closely with my colleagues, fellow councillors and council officers in the community and representing the Bellarine community and the broader community of Geelong.”
