The next stage of upgrades to the Surf Coast highway are set to get underway later this month.

New upgrades set to include better street lighting, and linking street signals to the nearby Grovedale CFA station in order to help get emergency vehicles out safer.

“There will be significant changes in traffic conditions on arterial and local roads while these works are underway,” Transport Victoria said.

“Traffic management will include lane closures on the Surfcoast Highway, access changes and closures to roads that intersect the highway at Reserve Road, Felix Street, Perret Street and Peter Street, detours and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h.

“Traffic controllers will be on site to help direct drivers.”
