Patrons have been forced to evacuate a Federal Mills restaurant after a structure fire saw the venue fill with smoke.
Emergency services were called to MexiCam’s Restaurante + Fiesta around 6.50pm on Tuesday night after callers to Triple Zero reported smoke in the building.
FRV crews, supported by CFA, arrived within six minutes to find the restaurant involved with fire.
Crews donned breathing apparatus to contain the blaze and isolated it to an internal stud wall.
All patrons were safely evacuated and the scene was deemed under control shortly before 7.10pm.
Firies remained on scene for some time after the fire to ensure the scene was safe.
