A P-plater has been caught allegedly travelling more than double the speed limit on the Bellarine.
The 18 year was reportedly clocked doing 130 km/h in a 60 km/h zone and told officers he was late for a shift at work.
Officers said he had only recently obtained his probationary licence.

His vehicle has been impounded at a cost of $1305 and he’s set to face court at a later date.
Police have reminded locals they will be out in force this long weekend, targeting high-risk driving behaviour such as speeding, impaired driving, distraction and seatbelt offences.
