A woman is in hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Tarneit.
Police say the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning.
“Emergency services were called to reports a pedestrian was hit by a silver Subaru on Tarneit Road about 2.40am,” police said in a statement.

“The female pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“The male driver of the car stopped at the scene.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.”
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to contact police.
