A person has been fined after being caught dumping tyres in Tarneit.
Wyndham Council worked with the EPA and police to identify the culprit, who was fined more than $2,000.
The city is warning it is continually followingg up leads to stop dumping across the municipality.

It has over 180 fines worth around $450,000 for litter or dumping issued in 2025.
The City of Greater Geelong has also had issues with people illegally dumping rubbish in areas including Avalon.
The council received more than 6,600 requests in 2024/25 to remove dumped rubbish.
Anyone who notices illegally dumped rubbish are being urged to contact their local council.
