A Geelong man has been caught speeding and drink driving in Victoria’s north.
The 42-year-old was intercepted after he was allegedly clocked doing 178km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Hume Highway at Longwood East on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man, who is unlicensed, blew 0.284, almost six-times the blood alcohol limit.

His car has been impounded and the man has been handed a notice of immediate driving ban.
Officers say the man is expected to face charges.
Anyone who may have dash cam footage or witnessed erratic driving on the Hume Freeway at the time are being urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
