RSL Victoria has received federal cash to look at the feasibility of a veterans’ and families’ hub in Geelong.
The federal government has announced the RSL has been awarded a $50,000 grant to develop a business case.
It is expected the proposal will see the Geelong RSL expanded to house the hub, with a satellite site at Torquay following community feedback.
The federal government says the community wants services to be available and easily accessible on the Surf Coast, rather than just one location.
The hub will help with advocacy, case management, medical and allied health services.
There is no word yet on when the facility will be up and running.
