Much loved celebrity chef and former Drysdale resident Peter Russell-Clarke is being remembered as a pioneer in Australian television.
The former chef, artists and author died following a stroke on Thursday at the age of 89.
Russell-Clarke hosted close to a thousand episodes of the cooking show Come and Get It on the ABC.
In his time as a chef, he cooked for many dignitaries, including premiers and prime ministers, and the now King Charles.
He also wrote more than 35 cookbooks, was an accomplished cartoonist and a spokesperson for Australian produce.
He also made a resurgence in recent years as bloopers of his television show became available online, often exposing his acid tongue, earning further love from the public.
Russell-Clarke previously lived at the Soho estate, which also included a restaurant, gallery and lemon farm.
